Vilowond® Ag Carbon Plus pouch containing an absorbent pad in addition to a superabsorbent layer and a non-woven layer containing activated carbon to be able to manage higher level of exudates and wounds with offensive
odours.

• High absorption capacity more than 9 times the original weight of the dressing.
• The hydrophobic layer is permeable to air and moisture-repellent. It helps preventing strike through and acts as a
barrier from external contamination.
• Highly conformable, cost-effective and can be used under compression bandages.
• The additional activated carbon layer effectively adsorbs wound’s offensive odors.
• Antimicrobial effect of silver reduces risk of infection.
• Used as primary dressing because polyethylene silver net only works in contact with wound exudates.

Vilowond® Ag product line is indicated for absorbing wound exudates from (from highly exuding wounds) either infected or non-infected exuding wounds and for providing cushioning and protection to the wound site.

• Do not use in Dry wound or wounds covered with hard necrotic tissue.
• Do not use in third degree burns.
• Do not use in case of sensitivity to silver or any of the dressing components

• Single use dressing, reuse may cause infection.
• Do not cut the dressing.

Broad Spectrum Antimicrobial Effect against wide range of gram-negative bacteria, gram positive bacteria and
MRSA. Upon contact with exudate, silver ions are activated to kill bacteria but do not leach from the pad and act
only at the pad surface when they come in contact with microorganisms. This creates clean wound environment and
prevent colonization of bacteria in wounds at high risk of infection.
