Silotull® is a porous, atraumatic wound contact layer. The silicone coating is slightly tacky, which facilitates the application and retention of the dressing to the skin surrounding the wound. This gentle adhesion also tends to prevent maceration by inhibiting the lateral movement of exudate from the wound on to the surrounding skin. Soft Silicone ensures removal of the dressing without pain or trauma to the delicate new tissues. Silotull® is not absorbent, but contains apertures or pores that allow the passage of exudate into a secondary absorbent dressing. Silotull® is double side coated with Silicone adhesive, while Silotull® One is single side coated.

Silotull® and Silotull ® One are used for management of wounds where adherence to the underlying tissues should be avoided. Typical applications include skin tears or abrasions, surgical excisions, first and second degree burns, blistering conditions, lacerations, partial and full thickness grafts, leg and pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers and skin damage following radiotherapy or steroid therapy.

• Wounds should be inspected for signs of infection according to clinical practice guidelines. Consult a healthcare professional for the appropriate medical treatment.
• When Silotull® or Silotull ® One is used on burns treated with meshed grafts, avoid placing unnecessary pressure upon the dressing.
• When Silotull® or Silotull ® One is used after facial resurfacing, avoid placing pressure upon the dressing, lift and reposition the dressing at least every second day.
• When Silotull® or Silotull ® One is used for the fixation of skin grafts and protection of blisters it is recommended that, the dressing should not be changed before the fifth day post application.
• Single use device. Reuse may cause cross contamination.
