Indicaciones

Están indicados para heridas con exudado, para evitar traumatismos relacionado con apósitos y para minimizar la incomodidad y el dolor causados por el apósito, especialmente en personas con piel frágil.

Contraindicaciones

• Los apósitos no deben utilizarse en personas alérgicas al apósito o a alguno de sus componentes.

Precautions

• Los apósitos no están previstos para su uso en cavidades corporales internas.
• Si se desarrolla una infección durante el uso del apósito, consulte a un profesional sanitario para obtener un tratamiento adecuado para la infección.
• La esterilidad está garantizada siempre que la bolsa no esté dañada.
• El uso múltiple aumenta el riesgo de infección.
• Desechar el producto como residuo contaminado.

How does it work?

Soft silicone dressings

are coated with a hydrophobic soft silicone layer that is tacky to touch. These dressings do not stick to the moist wound bed, but will adhere gently to the surrounding skin. They are designed to minimize trauma on removal and do not leave an adhesive residue on the skin.

1. Open the pouch using aseptic technique. In case of Pharmapore® PU Gentle, hold the dressing at either side of the wave cut and stretch the support
paper a little to loosen the wave cut.
2. Remove the larger flap pf the release liner to expose the adhesive surface.
3. Place the dressing on the wound site and then remove the smaller flap of the release liner.
4. In case of film dressings, slowly remove the upper support paper while smoothing down transparent film dressing edges.

ESPUMA^®Gentle Comfort is absorbent, polyurethane foam laminated with perforated soft silicone gel wound contact layer which extends beyond the perimeter of foam to allow easy fixation without adhesive tapes or fixation dressing and provide atraumatic dressing removal. The outermost layer of the dressing is polyurethane non-woven bilaminate which is waterproof, bacteria proof and virus proof.
Beneficios
- Gentle soft Silicone gel allows atraumatic dressing removal.
- Pattern coated silicone or perforated silicone film, allow free passage of wound exudate to the foam so prevents skin maceration.
- High absorption capacity polyurethane foam also provides a cushioning effect.
- Highly breathable top sheet allows evaporation of absorbed exudates, thus it enhances fluid handling capacity of the dressing.
- Being waterproof, the top sheet prevents strike through and allows showering while the dressing is in place.
Indicaciones
ESPUMA^®Gentle Comfort is suitable for dressing many types of exuding wounds including leg and pressure ulcers, surgical incisions and traumatic wounds resulting in skin loss, also may be used under compression bandaging.
Contraindicaciones
Do not use ESPUMA^®Gentle Comfort dressings with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing.

Precaution
In case of infection, ESPUMA^®Gentle Comfort still can be used but under medical supervision and with antimicrobial conjunctive therapy.
Frequency of Change
El intervalo de tiempo transcurrido entre un apósito y otro nuevo dependerá por lo general de la cantidad de exudado que produzca la herida, aunque se puede dejar durante varios días en el caso de heridas cuyo exudado sea escaso y fluido.
How supplied
ESPUMA^®Gentle Comfort is supplied individually wrapped in heat sealable package, sterilized by ethylene oxide.
