unless pouch is damaged or opened prior to use. Discard any unused portion of the product after dressing the wound. If the immediate product packaging is damaged, do not use.<\/li>\n<li>This device is for single-use only and shall not be re-used. Re-use may lead to increased risk of infection or cross contamination. Physical properties of the device may no longer be optimal for intended use.<\/li>\n<li>This wound dressing shall not be used with other wound care products without first consulting a healthcare professional.<\/li>\n<li>The wound shall be inspected during dressing changes and appropriate treatment given if there are: a) signs of infection (increased pain, increased redness, wound drainage), b) bleeding, c) a change in wound color and\/or odor, d) irritation (increased redness and\/or inflammation), e) maceration (skin whitening), f) hypergranulation (excessive tissue formation), g) sensitivity (allergic reaction), h) no signs of healing.<\/li>\n<li>The Dressing is not compatible with oil-based products, such as petrolatum.<\/li>\n<li>In partial thickness (second degree) burns, consider alternate (surgical) procedures if the wound has not re-epithelialized after 14 days.<\/li>\n<li>The use of <strong><em>Fibrosol\u00ae Non-Adherent wound pad <\/em><\/strong>has not been studied in wounds due to herpes simplex or impetigo.<\/li>\n<li>-\tCe pansement ne peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 sur des plaies infect\u00e9es que sous la supervision d'un professionnel de sant\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, for leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, second degree burns, donor sites, surgical or traumatic wounds left to heal by primary or secondary intention:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>-Treatment of the wound types listed above shall only be under the supervision of a healthcare professional.<\/p>\n<p>-Appropriate supportive measures shall be taken where indicated (e.g. use of graduated compression bandaging in the management of venous leg ulcers or pressure relief measures in the management of pressure ulcers, systemic antibiotics and frequent monitoring in the treatment of wound infection, control of blood glucose for diabetic ulcers, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>-Colonization of chronic wounds is common and is not a contraindication to the use of<\/p>\n<p>the dressing.
