AbsoClear® Cushion ring Is punctured PE foam discs laminated to a highly absorbent, bacteriostatic and fungistatic gel layer. The foam discs provide the ideal structure for protection against physical contact with catheter sites.
- Any active bleeding at the insertion site should be stabilized before applying the dressing.
- Do not stretch the dressing during application. Mechanical skin trauma may result if the dressing is applied with tension.
- The skin should be dry and free of detergent residue to prevent skin irritation and to ensure good adhesion.
- Antimicrobial ointments containing polyethylene glycols may compromise the strength of the cover dressing film.
- Use care and cover the port dressing to protect from water when showering.
Used with I.V. catheters, central venous lines, arterial catheters & PICC lines, can also be used for orthopedic pins, epidural catheters and drain tubes.
Don’t use on patient with known sensitivity to the product or any of its components.

1- Open the pouch using aseptic technique.
2- Peel off the dressing from the release liner.
3- Place AbsoClear® Cushion Tracheostomy around the stoma or tracheostomy tube, or around the catheter in case of AbsoClear® Cushion ring.
4- Secure with adhesive tape e.g. Pharmamed® or Pharmafix® (tape only the edges to maintain MVTR) or with film dressing e.g. Protectfilm®
