Pharmapore® PU eXsorb Carbon Frame style  : is Island dressing made of  superabsorbent hydrocapillary pad with carbon felt laminated to a low-adherent wound contact layer that allows the passage of the exudates to the pad, and having an adhesive border. Upon absorption of exudates, the dressing forms a soft hydrophilic gel that locks away bacteria and harmful proteases, reducing risk of infection and maceration. The pad is placed centrally on transparent, breathable, virus-proof, bacteria-proof and waterproof polyurethane backing material with frame style delivery system for easier application.

2. Conformable and Soft: It conforms to wound contours due to Gel formation which prevents adherence of the dressing to the newly formed tissues

Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, second degree surface burns, post-operative wounds.

Carbon management of malodorous acute or chronic wounds

• Do not use on Eyes, mucous membranes or tendons, due to the risk of dehydration.
• Do not use on any cavity or sinuses, as the dressing will swell on absorption.
• Do not use on dry/low exuding wounds, as the absorption capacity may cause sticking to the wound or cause the wound to dry out and become painful.
• Do not use on patients with a known allergy to any acrylic substance.
• Do not use as a surgical sponge or to achieve haemostasis in heavily bleeding wounds.
• Do not use on an infected wounds unless under medical supervision.
