• Adhesive skin closure strips are used in the treatment of lacerations and surgical incisions.
• Can be used in combination with skin sutures and staples or after their removal for wound support.

1. Don’t use on patients with known sensitivity to acrylic adhesive.
2. Don’t use on infected wounds.
3. Don’t use in case of high tension wounds which cannot be easily approximated with fingers or forceps. Skin shearing, skin blistering, or loss of adhesion may result if excessive tension is applied.

1. Ensure that the skin is clean, dry, and free of skin oils to assure good adhesion.
2. The occurrence of postoperative edema may cause skin shearing, skin blistering, or loss of tape adhesion to occur at either end of the strip.
3. Upon removal of the strip, skin peeling may occur as a result of the usage of any surgical tape or adhesive.
4. Rarely, hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation may occur due to the application of adhesives to the skin.
5. Mild acne and folliculitis have been observed occasionally in testing on healthy volunteers.
