Pharmapore® eXsorb Carbon : is Island dressing made of  superabsorbent hydrocapillary pad with carbon felt laminated to a low-adherent wound contact layer that allows the passage of the exudates to the pad, and having an adhesive border. Upon absorption of exudates, the dressing forms a soft hydrophilic gel that locks away bacteria and harmful proteases, reducing risk of infection and maceration. the pad placed centrally on a non-woven backing material for patients with sensitive skin.

2. Conformable and Soft: It conforms to wound contours due to Gel formation which prevents adherence of the dressing to the newly formed tissues

• لا تستخدم الضمادة على العیون، أو الأغشیة المخاطیة، أو الأوتار تجنبًا لخطر الجفاف.
• لا تستخدم الضمادة على أي تجویف أو جیب، لأن الضمادة تنتفخ بعد الامتصاص.
• لا تستخدم الضمادة على الجروح الجافة أو قلیلة الإفرازات، لأن قوة الامتصاص قد تسبب التصاق الضمادة بالجرح أو حدوث جفاف للجرح وجعلھ مؤلمًا.
• لا تستخدم الضمادة مع المرضى الذین یعانون من حساسیة للمواد المصنعة من الأكریلیك.
• الضمادة غیر مخصصة لاستخدامھا كإسفنجة جراحیة أو لوقف النزیف في حالة الجروح شدیدة النزیف.
• لا تستخدم الضمادة للجروح الملوثة إلا تحت إشراف طبي.

بمجرد امتصاص الإفرازات، تُكون الضمادة طبقة رقیقة من الجل المحب للماء، تحافظ على البكتیریا والبروتیاز الضار بعیدًا، مما یقلل من احتمال حدوث العدوى والتعطن.
