Product Info
AluBurn I.V. Film Polyurethane film coated with pressure sensitive adhesive having U shaped slit. AluBurn is placed centrally on an adhesive substrate with U shape slit to allow easy fixation of the catheter and cannula.
- Aluminized polyethylene net:
– Acts as a non-adherent layer, so it does not stick to the newly formed tissue.
– Permeable, it allows free passage of wound exudate preventing skin maceration. - Hydrophilic absorbent fleece.
- Soft and conformable.
- permeable to air/water vapor
– Used for catheter, cannulas and tracheal cannulas for tracheostomies fixations.
There are no absolute contraindications to the use of the products, but don’t use on patients with known
sensitivity to the product or any of its components.
– Reuse of the product may cause risk of infection or cross-contamination.
– The dressing should not be used with highly exuding wounds as it may cause tissue maceration.
– The skin should be clear and dry before application to ensure good adhesion.
– Dispose as contaminated waste.
1. Open the pouch using aseptic technique. In case of AluBurn I.V. Film , hold the dressing at either side of the
wave cut and stretch the support paper a little to loosen the wave cut.
2. Remove the flaps to expose the adhesive surface.
3. Place the dressing on the injection site. Remove the lower flaps (If present).
4. In case of AluBurn I.V. Film , slowly remove the upper support paper while smoothing down the transparent
film dressing edges.
