TUBIFIX Family is an adhesive Catheter fixation systems which adhere to the skin to secure a percutaneous non-vascular catheter or tube to help minimize movement and/or accidental removal.
Suitable for fixing and strain relief of:
- Redon drainages.
- Wound drainages.
- Pressure monitoring probes.
- Infusions.
- Different types of hoses and catheters ZVK / CAPD /PEG / Ports ……. As in REF 920201& 920301.
- Large Lumina hoses and thorax drainages…as in REF 921200&921201.
- Endotracheal tubes-oral & nasal.
- All tubifix fixing systems can remain on the patient for a few days, only strips must be changed if necessary.
- In patients with allergic reactions, please use our hydrocolloid retainers.
- Hydrocolloid retainers need body temperature to ensure optimal adherence. So first shape for few minutes before stressing the retainer (first clean skin with water and soap, do not use solvents ).
- Hydrocolloid retainers are used in patients with allergic reactions.
- Velcro straps can be opened and closed as needed, which ensures that fixing system remains on the patient for few days.
• Do not use in case of known allergy to the dressing or any of its components.
If rash or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use.
• Stop any bleeding at the site before applying the securement system.
• Do not stretch the dressing during application as tension can cause skin trauma.
• Make sure the skin is clean and free of soap residue and lotion. Allow skin to dry thoroughly before applying the securement system to prevent skin irritation and to ensure good adhesion.
• The securement system may be used on an infected site, only when under the care of a health care professional.
• Antimicrobial ointments containing polyethylene glycols may compromise the strength of the securement system.
• TUBIFIX is for single use only. Do not sterilize.
1. Remove protective paper and apply fixing system on clean skin.
2. Remove protective paper from Velcro strap, insert hose into adhesive surface.
3. Close Velcro strap. Press slightly. The fixing system can remain on the patient for a few days.
